Instructions for Abstract Submissions
Early career researchers are invited to submit abstracts for selection of oral or poster presentations. There will be prizes given for the best short talk and poster.
Abstracts will be assessed by the organising committee and delegates will be notified approximately 4 weeks prior to the conference if they have been selected for a short talk or poster.
Deadline for abstracts is: Friday 21 March 2025
Abstracts should be submitted in a Word document.
The submitting author should be the presenting author.
Underline the presenting author’s full name.
A maximum of 300 words, which includes references but excludes title and authors.
Title: Calibri, 11-point font size, bold.
Names: Calibri, 11-point font size, bold.
Contact addresses: Calibri 11-point font (no bold).
Abstract content: Text only Calibri, 11-point font size (no bold). Single space.
Name the attachment in the following manner: e.g. clooney_george_abstract.
Submit your abstract attachment using the submission form.
Please be aware:
Text will be omitted if your abstract exceeds 300 words.
Do not include diagrams as they cannot be reproduced.
Abstracts will not be proofed. Text will be reproduced exactly as presented.
All submitted abstracts will be included in an online brochure which will be sent to delegates prior to the event.

Oral Presentations
If you are selected to present, please ensure:
Oral presentations submitted are in PowerPoint format.
To submit oral presentations no later than Monday 12 May.
Posters
If you are selected, all posters should be portrait style, size A0 and must be submitted for poster printing by Monday 12 May.
The deadline date and poster printing instructions applies to CRUK SI & UoG delegates only. We kindly ask all other delegates to use printing services at their own institute or by using a local supplier.
